£3000 reward issued in Beata Bryl murder hunt

A £3000 appeal from Crimestoppers is hoping to unearth clues into the disappearance and horrific murder of the 23-year-old, whose last known address was in Walthamstow, east London.

She was bludgeoned to death and burnt, and later found in woods near Wooburn Green in July 2006.

Police released CCTV footage last week of the last sighting of the pretty model at Leytonstone tube station on July 28, 2006.

And now the independent charity is hoping the incentive will encourage anyone with any knowledge of her disappearance to come forward.

Crimestoppers Regional Manager, Julia Hughes, said: “This is an absolutely horrific ordeal that this poor woman has gone through and I cannot begin to imagine the pain she suffered.

“The person or people responsible for her murder have carried out one of the worst acts of violence I have heard of in my time at Crimestoppers, and I would urge anyone with information to please come forward anonymously, safe in the knowledge you will never be identified.”

An inquest revealed the Polish national had been beaten over the head at least 20 times, before her body was doused in acclerant and burnt.

The former teen beauty pageant contestant, who came to England in 2003, suffered injuries so severe that it took police a month to identify her body.

Chief Inspector Colin Seaton said it was the worst crime he had ever seen in his policing career.

Last week, in addition to the never-before-seen CCTV footage, police have also released fresh photos of a distinctive cloth her body was wrapped in and the Pegasus tattoo she had inked on her right arm.
