POLICE are warning people in High Wycombe to remain vigilant after a series of burglaries in the town.
Residents reported six burglaries over the course of 24 hours this week, with the majority of offenders entering buildings through rear windows or doors.
On Wednesday, October 8, five burglaries were reported in High Wycombe.
The crimes were committed in Welles Road, Chiltern Avenue, Everest Road, Marlow Road and Totteridge Road.
A burglary in Hunt Road was also committed overnight between Wednesday and Thursday, October 9.
During some of these burglaries, certain items were damaged and some electrical items were stolen.
Officers are now patrolling these areas to prevent further break-ins, but ask that residents ensure their windows and doors are properly secured.
Other tips include marking valuable items with a UV pen, ensuring tools and ladders and locked out of sight and keys are safely stored away from the front door.
