Police believe a teenage girl who was reported missing days before Christmas is safe – but need her to contact them.

Danielle McKenna, 14, from Hemel Hempstead, went missing more than two weeks ago on Monday, December 22, and was believed to have links to High Wycombe and Chesham.

However, just two days after Hertfordshire Constabulary officers said the teenager was still missing, it is now claimed they have new information which suggests she is safe and well.

Sarah Spence, a spokesman for the police force said, said: “We have information that Danielle is safe and well, however we need to verify this.

“Danielle, if you are reading this can you please contact the police directly.”

Since the teenager went missing Thames Valley Police have been helping Hertfordshire Constabulary appeal for witnesses because of her links to the south of Bucks.

Officers are asking Danielle to call 101.
