A CCTV image has been released in the hunt for a bike thief after a spate of thefts which led to a warning for cyclists in South Bucks to be on their guard.

Police want to speak to the man pictured in the grainy image in connection with the theft of a Kona Blast from outside Waitrose in Bell Street, Henley.

The theft was one of more than 20 in the area since October, with bike owners in Marlow warned to take extra care after a spate of bike thefts in the town in recent weeks.

The CCTV image shows a man who is slim and wearing a dark-coloured baseball cap with a white or pale-coloured square-shaped motif on the front.

He was wearing a black jacket, black jogging bottoms, which police said appear to have text on the side, possibly 'Nike', and white trainers.

Anyone with information about this incident should contact investigating officer PC Becky Tanner, of Sonning Common police station, via the 24-hour enquiry line 101.

If you do not want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
