A man suffered a broken nose after three men attacked him when he refused to empty his pockets.

The victim, a man in his forties, was on his way to visit friends in Hampden Way, at about 7.40pm on January 20, when three men approached him in the street.

The men demanded that he empty his pockets and hand over his belongings, but the victim refused.

The three men then assaulted him, leaving the victim with injuries to his face, including a broken nose.

The victim did not require hospital treatment.

Police said that the first attacker was Asian, aged between late teens and early twenties, slim, clean-shaven and around 6ft tall. He was wearing a black Puffa-style jacket and light blue jeans.

The second man was also described as Asian, around 5ft 8ins tall and stocky. The third man was black and roughly the same age as the other two attackers.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to come forward with information about the attack.
