A violent criminal who caused “horrific injuries” when he stabbed his victim nine times with two kitchen knives has been jailed for ten years.

Frank Francis, of West Wycombe Road, in High Wycombe, was sentenced on Tuesday for one count of Section 18 GBH and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

At about 9pm on Wednesday, July 23, the 47-year-old stabbed his victim in the arms and stomach during the unprovoked attack in Brecon Way.

The 26-year-old victim was taken to Wexham Park Hospital for treatment. He was left with permanent scarring and injuries.

Investigating officer, Det Con Matt Kent from Force CID in High Wycombe, said: “Francis caused horrific injuries to the victim in a totally unprovoked and sustained attack.

“The victim has large permanent scars on his arms and stomach which will always be a reminder of that night.

“The significant sentence reflects the seriousness of the attack, and I hope that the sentence given to Frank will give some closure to the victim and his family.”

Francis pleaded guilty on the first day of the trial, prior to a jury being sworn in and was sentenced at Amersham Crown Court this week.
