The mother of a pedestrian who was seriously injured after a hit-and-run crash in High Wycombe has praised two strangers who helped look after her son on the roadside while he waited for medical attention.

The two men – one who is believed to be a driving instructor – got out of their vehicles almost straight after the collision and helped tend to Peter Pisani’s injuries.

Amanda Pisani had to fly home from Italy to be by her son Peter’s side following the collision She said: “We are hoping to try and get in touch with them and say a big thank you as they showed such kindness.”

The family also wanted to thank the doctors and nurses of Stoke Mandeville Hospital and South Central Ambulance Service who helped him over his four days in hospital.

While Peter said the police officers involved have been “very helpful”.
