Police swooped on three addresses in south Bucks early yesterday morning after receiving intelligence on the suspected human trafficking of adults.

Two properties in Bakers Wood, Denham, and one property in Upper Road, Denham, were visited as part of the pre-planned operation.

Police officers and staff from the local neighbourhood policing team, tasking and intelligence teams carried out the three warrants simultaneously at 7am.

A total of eight women and eight men were spoken to by police. However, no offences were disclosed and no arrests have been made.

Det Con Kylie West, from Amersham police station, was one of the officers involved in yesterday morning’s operation.

She said:”Today’s (Thursday’s) warrants were carried out as a result of intelligence which had suggested that the addresses in question were linked to suspected human trafficking offences of adults.

“Although no arrests have been made and no offences disclosed at this time, we have spoken to a number of people at the properties this morning who have been made aware of local concerns.”
