A 41-year-old woman from Beaconsfield has been charged in connection with fraud in Beaconsfield after nearly £70,000 was allegedly stolen from an elderly woman.
Nicola Jane Chaulk, from Fernhurst Close, was charged on Monday with one count of theft and five counts of fraud by abuse of position.
Police say the charges relate to incidents between December 2013 and September 2014 when a 91-year-old bed-ridden vulnerable woman from Beaconsfield had £51,000 fraudulently taken from her bank account via online transactions.
During the same period, cash withdrawals and card transactions worth £19,000 were also taken from the same woman’s account, officers added.
Ms Chaulk has been bailed to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on April 9.
