Three people have been arrested in connection with car vandalism in High Wycombe this afternoon. 

Thames Valley Police confirmed they were called to Arundel Road at 2.40pm after reports of a car on fire and several other cars with smashed windows. 

Two fire crews from High Wycombe attended the scene of the car fire in Longland Way at 2.54pm. 

A 19-year-old man, a 22-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy, all from High Wycombe, have been arrested on suspicion of committing criminal damage and are currently in custody. 

Sgt Darren Mitchell, from High Wycombe police station, said: “Police responded quickly to calls from vigilant members of the public and were able to swiftly arrest three people. I would like to praise the members of the public who came forward to provide information which resulted in these arrests.

"We urge all communities to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. Officers remain in the area this evening and I would urge anyone with concerns to speak to them or call police on 101.”
