Four people have been charged in connection with criminal damage to vehicles across High Wycombe.

The charges relate to criminal damage to 247 vehicles in the town between Tuesday, March 3 and Thursday, April 9.

A 17-year-old boy from High Wycombe, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with Arson, Theft of a motor vehicle, Conspiracy to destroy/damage property and possession of a Class B drug, cannabis.

Three other men from High Wycombe, Iftikar Aslam, 22, from Desborough Road, Waqas Yasin, 20, from Rutland Avenue and 19-year-old Khurum Hanif, also of Rutland Avenue, have been charged with Arson, Theft of a motor vehicle and Conspiracy to destroy/damage property.

All four are due to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court today.

Investigating officer, Det Sgt David Percival of Force CID based at High Wycombe, said: “I would like to thank members of the public for their help, cooperation and patience during a recent spate of criminal damage in the town.

“Our investigations continue and I would urge all communities to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the Force on 101.”

LPA Commander for Wycombe, Supt Ed McLean said: "I would like to reassure local residents that investigating these incidents of criminal damage remains a priority.”
