A man has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life following a blaze in Chalfont St Giles on Friday night.
Thames Valley Police launched an investigation after firefighters were called to the first-floor maisonette, in Seymour Road, at 11.10pm.
A man was taken to hospital suffering from burns and smoke inhalation.
Mark Redmond, 33, of no fixed abode, was arrested on Friday in connection with the fire at the block of flats on the same day.
Mr Redmond was today charged with one count of arson with intent to endanger and one count of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, or disorderly behaviour causing harassment, alarm or distress.
He is scheduled to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
