A man from High Wycombe has been sent to prison for ten years for a 'callous and premeditated attack' in which he stabbed a man in the face, throat and chest.

Jason Humphrey, of Castle Street, High Wycombe pleaded guilty to one count of grievous bodily harm with intent on June 8 and was sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court on July 7. 

The 31-year-old went to the home of the victim in Desborough Road, High Wycombe, on Sunday, January 11.

When the 43-year-old victim opened the door, Humphrey immediately stabbed him in the face, throat and chest and ran away from the scene.

The victim suffered stab and puncture wounds and was treated at Wexham Park Hospital before being discharged.

Humphrey was arrested on January 20 and charged on February 20.

Officer in the case, Det Con Natalie Hall of Force CID based at High Wycombe police station, said: “Jason Humphrey committed a callous and premeditated attack on the victim.

“The nature of the attack, which was without warning, and the location of the injuries demonstrated Humphrey’s intent to cause serious injury.

“As a result of this conviction a dangerous and violent man has been locked up and removed from the streets of Buckinghamshire. The significant sentence imposed is a reflection of the serious nature of this offence.”
