An 11-year-old boy was chased and knocked to the ground in a basketball court by a man believed to be in his thirties or forties, last week.

Police said the offender shouted foul language at the boy before chasing him and knocking him over at the basketball court in Micklefield Road, High Wycombe, at about 5pm on Thursday.

The incident took place near to Ash Hill Primary School in Herbert Road and the offender left the scene in a black Volvo car with a woman and three children.

It has not been confirmed if the boy was injured.

Detectives said that the offender is described as Asian, aged 30 to 40, muscular, with short dark hair and grey facial stubble.

He was wearing a blue T-shirt with a dark circular pattern and white writing on the front plus dark shorts and dark sunglasses.

The woman accompanying him was white, slim with long brown hair. She was wearing a white top and dark jeans.

Investigating officer, PC Colin Targett, based at High Wycombe Police Station, said: “Another man was present at the basketball court and helped the victim. He might be a key witness and I would like to speak with him about what happened.

“He is described as about 40-years-old with short grey hair. He was wearing blue football shorts. He was not wearing a top.”
