A robber attacked an 11-year-old schoolboy during a “frightening” ordeal in High Wycombe High Street earlier this week.

The victim fell to the ground after he was grabbed from behind by the offender, who stole his rucksack.

The young boy suffered head injuries, but did not need hospital treatment.

The attack happened near The Hobgoblin pub at about 4.15pm on Wednesday, October 21.

After stealing the black rucksack, which contained a black jacket and a school planner, the robber ran down the alleyway adjacent to the pub and then towards the car park of the Wycombe Swan Theatre.

The offender is a white, with short brown hair which was parted to one side. He was wearing a black hooded top, blue jogging bottoms and green trainers.

Sandra Faux of High Wycombe CID, said: “This was a frightening experience for the young victim and I would therefore urge anyone with any information to search their conscience and contact police immediately.”
