A High Wycombe man who has become one of the most notorious Isis recruits reportedly wrote a letter admitting many members of the group are dying due to poor medical treatment.

Omar Hussain, often dubbed as the “loneliest jihadi” because of his social media posts about his struggles to find a wife, is believed to currently be in Syria having fled the UK.

The former Morrisons supermarket worker is understood to have written an open letter to persuade other people to join the terror group which has committed atrocities across the world.

According to national reports, he wrote: “I have been to the hospitals up and down the state and so many hospitals lack not only man power but also doctors who are qualified for their jobs.

“I have seen many trainees training others on how to treat wounds, and many errors are committed by these untrained, unqualified, inexperienced helpers.

“The assistance, care and supervision of many brothers goes unchecked.”

Omar Hussain used to work at Morrisons supermarket in High Wycombe.

In a bid to attract others to join the group, the 27-year-old allegedly claimed that fighters were having to assist with surgeries.

He added: “You do not need to be an expert in your field to make a difference here, even someone with a year or two of studies is a big help.

“As I mentioned previously, we have brothers here who have not studied anything, yet due to the lack of doctors they help out in the hospitals, and many times, even help in major surgeries and operations.”

“The wage here may not be as much as you get in the west but do we live for this life or do we live for the hereafter? Is money more important than the life of your Muslim brother?”

The letter has only recently been translated into English.

The former Cressex Community School student first rose to notoriety after appearing via video link on BBC’s Newsnight, where he claimed he would only return to the UK to “plant a bomb”.

In the last year, he has also written about his “lonely” life in Syria, writing lengthy blog posts about his boredom and the table manners of others in Syria.

He has regularly appeared in Isis propaganda messages before and in September 2015 was officially blocked by the UN from ever returning to the country.
