Thames Valley Police announced this afternoon that about 40 bottles of spirit worth approximately £825 were taken from the Bootlegger pub in Amersham Hill between about 4.50am and 6.10am on Tuesday 12 January.

The offenders entered the pub after forcing open a cellar door at the back of the premises and tried, unsuccessfully, to access the tills.

It is believed offenders carried the bottles in large duffle bags from the premise towards Amersham Hill.

TVP has released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with the burglary.

Investigating officer PC Hannah Davison said: "It was about 6.10am when the offenders left the Bootlegger pub.

"The early morning commute was beginning and traffic was travelling down Amersham Hill at the time. Motorists may have seen the offenders.

"I would like to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened, or who recognises the men shown in the CCTV images, to get in touch."

Anyone with information can contact PC Hannah Davison, at High Wycombe police station, via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101 or anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
