Investigators hoping to catch the person who fired a gun through the window of a house in High Wycombe are offering a £2,000 reward for anyone with information.

Three people were inside the property, on Jubilee Road, when the shot was blasted through the living room window at around 10.45pm on November 1 last year.

No-one was hurt during the terrifying incident.

Crimestoppers is now offering the reward for information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible.

Regional manager for Crimestoppers in Thames Valley, Julia Hughes, said: “This was a serious incident which could have injured or even killed somebody.”

Bucks Free Press:

CCTV images from the scene were released at the time of the shocking attack, which left the residents of the house in fear.

Speaking to the Bucks Free Press, a 30-year-old man who lives at the property, but wished to remain anonymous, said: “We have lived here 30 years and we have never had a problem.

“It’s quite shocking. We don’t have a grudge against anyone. It must have been a case of mistaken identity.

“I believe it was a shotgun used.”

One witness saw an individual in dark clothing, possibly a man, running away from the scene.

At the time, deputy LPA commander for High Wycombe, chief inspector Rebecca Mears said: “This is a very serious offence and it was lucky that no-one was injured.

“I would therefore urge anyone who knows anything about the incident, no matter how insignificant you think the information is, to please search their conscience and tell the police.”
