A vicious knife attacker who left a man for dead and hid from police in a loft for more than a month is now behind bars after being jailed for eight years.
High Wycombe teenager Hamza Hussain, was sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court today after stabbing a 24-year-old man five times.
The 19-year-old from Gibbs Close, attacked the victim as he walked in Mendip Way, Downley, last year before going on the run and avoiding arrest for more than a month despite a series of police appeals.

He will now serve eight years in prison for GBH wounding with intent.
Hussain was found guilty by a jury earlier this month, with detectives describing the attack as “vicious and unprovoked”.

The incident happened at around 2am on July 16, 2015, when Hussain pulled up alongside the victim in a VW Golf, got out and stabbed him several times, leaving the man with injuries to his back and side.
Investigating Officer, Det Con Emily Addison, of Force CID based at High Wycombe police station, said: "The victim was very fortunate to make a full recovery and is extremely lucky that the wounds inflicting did not cause any lasting damage."
