Thieves who stole 19 BB guns and a stock of ammunition from a Buckinghamshire property are still at large.

Detectives are hunting the armed burglars, while reassuring the community that the firearms are not capable of firing live ammunition.

The weapons were stolen from an outbuilding in Wapseys Lane, Hedgerley, between Thursday, June 16, and Friday, June 24.

Investigating officer, PC Daniel Thompson said: “In total 19 BB guns and BB gun ammunition were stolen from an outbuilding of a property in Wapseys Lane sometime between Thursday 16 June and Friday.

“However, I reassure the community that these firearms are not capable of firing live ammunition.

“I am appealing to anyone with any information about this offence to contact police as soon as possible.

“Perhaps you saw or heard something unusual in Wapseys Lane, saw a suspicious vehicle in the area or have been offered to buy a firearm since Thursday, June 16, if you have please get in touch.”
