18-year-old man charged with terrorism offences
An 18-year-old man from High Wycombe has been charged with terrorism offences.
Iftikhar Ali, of Totteridge Drive, was charged today by the South East Counter Terrorism Unit (SECTU) with five counts of sending terrorist publications to another person under Section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006 and one count of possessing terrorist material under Section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
Ali was remanded in custody to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court tomorrow (Tuesday).
Police have not confirmed the nature of the alleged material.
