An investigation has been launched after a “disturbing” robbery at a High Wycombe betting shop.
At around 9.20pm on Monday (May 1) two men entered Coral bookmakers in Desborough Road and one of the robbers, who was possibly armed with a knife, demanded a female member of staff hand over money from the safe and tills.
Both men then left the shop on foot towards West End Road.
Police Constable James Wood, of Force CID based in High Wycombe, leading the investigation said: "It was fortunate that nobody was hurt in what was obviously a disturbing incident.
"We want to speak to anyone who would have been in the vicinity of Coral bookmakers on Monday night or was a customer within the store at the time of the offence."
Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
