The inquest into the death of David Pickup, who was killed in an alleged “hit and run” in High Wycombe earlier this year, has been delayed while a police investigation continues.
David Pickup, 28, died after he was hit by a car while cycling down Hicks Farm Rise, in High Wycombe, on January 16 – sparking a hit-and-run investigation.
A pre-inquest review was held at Beaconsfield Coroner’s Court today (May 17), during which a short statement read out on behalf of Thames Valley Police confirmed investigations are still ongoing.
Police added that “there are possible charging decisions to be made”.
A date for the next pre-inquest review has been set for August 2 at 3.15pm however Mr Butler said if charges are made then he may be asked to suspend his investigation.
