A brazen shoplifter who stole thousands of pounds worth of electronics, alcohol and chocolates has been jailed.

High Wycombe thief Ella Pecko, 27, is currently serving her sentence behind bars after being convicted of more than 20 different crimes last month.

The former Amersham Hill resident was eventually caught out after repeatedly targeting stores across south Bucks.

During her summer crime spree, Pecko stole more than £385 in clothes and meat from the Eden Centre’s Marks and Spencer store as well as multiple Dyson Supersonic hairdryers from John Lewis costing £1,830.

She also stole £78 worth of chocolate from Asda in Cressex and seven boxes of Celebrations and three boxes of Quality Streets from Iceland in High Wycombe.

Pecko was also convicted of two assaults and for stealing silverware and £100 cash from a purse.

After avoiding an initial Wycombe Magistrates’ Court hearing, Pecko was slapped with an eight-month prison term, comprising a series of concurrent sentences.

She was also ordered to pay £115, but not told to pay any compensation for the items taken.
