AN elderly woman’s medication was stolen after two men gained access to her home by posing as officers from the water board.

The men called at the property in Bowerdean Road, High Wycombe, sometime between 9.45am and 10.15am last Monday.

They said they needed to carry out work to the water supply and gained access to the house before they were disturbed by a carer.

A locked blue cash tin – which did not contain money but did hold the woman’s medication – was grabbed by the men as they fled.

The first man is described by police as white, in his mid-forties, 5ft 9ins, fat, with short dark hair and possibly some stubble on his face.

He was wearing a black zipped up anorak, a dark T-shirt, black trousers and a white glove with green crosses on it in a mesh design. He spoke with an Irish accent.

A description of the second man has not been revealed by police.
