Hammer robber jailed

Jailed: Sunna Lock Jailed: Sunna Lock

A ROBBER has been jailed after being part of a group which stole £5,000 from a heavily pregnant woman after threatening her with a claw hammer.

Sunna Lock, pictured, of Main Road, Naphill, was one of three men who told his victim her husband had been killed  – before they threatened her in front of her young son.

Lock, aged 23, was this week caged for five years and eight months after a Reading Crown Court jury convicted him of robbery.

Two other men from Reading pleaded guilty to the offence, which took place in the Shinfield area of Reading on September 25.

The court heard that Lock and his two accomplices met a man under the pretext of selling him motorcycles.

The man was with his heavily pregnant wife and young son when the three offenders led him into a field to where they told him the motorcycles were being kept.

Jurors were told that a short time later they returned and approached the vehicle where the man’s wife and young son were waiting.

She was threatened with the claw end of a hammer and told her husband had been killed, before the men made off with £5,000 which they stole.

Threatening a child and a heavily pregnant woman.
Welcome to "Great" Britain everybody.

A gentle slap on the wrist.

When are laws going to change to keep these types of people off our streets and also make sure that they don’t do things like this again?

We are laughed at from everyone outside the UK for the week and wet way that we sentence.

Police know that they arrest the same low lives time and time again - and here are our watered down and weak judicial system in motion.

Set up by our MP's who have no backbone to stand up for the common decent man and woman who they represent - who tie the party line and do as they are told.

When are things going to change in this Country?

You very much get away with murder in the UK.

It's a joke.

But this is actually happening and its 2012!

There is no deterrent to stop this type of criminal behaviour.

Even with a so called central Right Wing Conservative "part" ran Government - they don’t bother making things any harder for these types of people.

They would rather look after themselves, their duck houses and moats.

Dear Mr Steve Baker MP- what are your thoughts on changing the law to make life much more difficult for these people?

Agree with you Darren.

It is the same people time and time again.

It's an annoying little circle - Criminal gets nicked for a serious offence such as this, gets let off with a slap on the wrist. Gets released, once again shows complete disregard for human life and ruins peoples lives by doing something such as this and then gets another soft sentence. Gets let out.......and so forth......

People like this I would happily pay to keep locked up. What that poor family must have thought god only knows.

The police time and time again nick these people and for them and us to be let down by this weak justice system.

That family have a life sentence of horrific memories and he will be out in a little over 2 years at a push. Pathetic.

.... and then to add insult to injury, he'll have a cushy little cell, all meals, medical, sport etc, etc. Should have been 10 years, hard labour, chain gang so something goes back to the community and no parole. There are some that would say this is Dickensian, going back to the 1800's. ..... and what if it does? The namby-pamby, slap on the wrist sure ain't working!!
