Most of Eden's 'non-smoking'

1:48pm Friday 21st March 2008

SOME shoppers expressed confusion about where they can and can't light up.

The design of the new centre combines an enclosed area where the Octagon and bus station used to be, a streetscape section covered by waterproof canopies and an open air part at Eden Place, by Marks & Spencer.

Eden bosses confirmed this week that under new smoking laws introduced last July, most of the centre is non-smoking - the only exception is the open air part between the bus station and Eden Place.

This is where Eden restaurants have permission to use outdoor seating as a smoking area for their customers.
