PUPILS at a High Wycombe school took to the stage for a musical performance of Oliver!, a musical adaptation of Oliver Twist.
Adrian Popworth, 13, played the title role in a show that drew together 60 pupils from Sir William Ramsay School.
Jackie Pridham, who works at the school, said: “He was absolutely gorgeous, actually – really, really cute.”
Emma Wardle, 15, played the role of Nancy, Gregg Sheffield, 15, played Bill Sykes and Tom Hurst, 13, was the Artful Dodger.
Jordan Phillips, 16, who played Danny in the school's production of Grease last year, returned to the stage as Fagin.
Jackie said: “He's very talented – he stole the show.”
According to performing arts coordinator Sue Darke, “An atmospheric set and stunning costumes created a real visual treat and the cast were ably supported by a ten piece band, stage crew and technical team.”
The play was performed on January 13, 14 and 16 at Sir William Ramsay School in Rose Avenue, Hazlemere.
