A Beaconsfield school 'transforms' curriculum with special visits

PUPILS at The Beaconsfield School have been working with a group of professional writers to develop their literary skills.

Poet Jacob Sam-Le Rose visted the school recently and stand-up comedians, sculptors and actors will be visiting year 11 pupils to help transform the curriculum.

Chloe Ward, a student in year 11, said: “My imagination was flowing all day”, while Chloe Johnson, called it “a different way of learning”.

Headteacher Nigel Dudding said: “We are always looking for ideas to inspire and develop the students creative talents. This has been a real innovative approach to the students coursework and we are delighted with the work that has been produced.”

Year six pupils from Holtspur School have also been visiting the Wattleton Road school for a taste of the dramatic life.

The group have been working with a professional drama practitioner from the Lemonwedge Arts Learning Centre to develop listening skills and body language.

The Beaconsfield School has Creative Partnership’s Change status.

Will the group of professional writers be popping into the BFP to develop their literary skills?
~
"Poet Jacob Sam-Le Rose visted the school recently and stand-up comedians, sculptors and actors and will be visiting year ..."
~
Either too many "and"s or there is a word missing before "will be visiting".

Thanks, but I think that you'll take them away again when you find out that I have forgotten my P.E. Kit. :(

Tell me more about this new verb "to vist" as in "Poet Jacob Sam-Le Rose visted the school".
