CHILDREN at a Studley Green school raised money for Haiti while learning how to make their world a better place.

Mary Towerton School held an action packed day under the heading of 'care' as they learnt how to make their school more environmentally friendly.

Pupils were encouraged to bring in scooters for playground activities and raised £100 for the Haiti earthquake fund.

On the same day the school launched their new programme to achieve a sustainable future which is sponsored by Sainsbury's in High Wycombe's and will see cookery, gardening and sustainability clubs introduced.

Headteacher Sarah Leighton said: “It was a lovely day where the pupils could learn how to care for each other, for the environment and global care.”
