Chepping's views heard by the BFP

EXCITED pupils from Chepping View Primary School helped Bucks Free Press journalists write stories for the newspaper and website this morning.

Almost 30 children from Miss Evans' literacy class took part in a lively discussion about news writing and shared their personal stories with editor Steve Cohen and reporter Simon Farr.

Each member of the class had to recount their most memorable moment of their life.

Possibly the best story came from Sean Chivers, 10, who told how he narrowly missed out on becoming High Wycombe's first baby of the new millennium.

He only missed out on the honour because he was born late.

Meanwhile, several other pupils told how they had got lost at various shopping centres and countries, while one told of how he went missing for about an hour during a Wycombe Wanderers match at Adams Park.

One of his classmates joked: “Maybe he was trying to escape through the back door because he didn't want to watch Wanderers any more.”

Even the teachers shared their most memorable moments, with Miss Evans revealing she was once a top class UK gymnast. The lesson was part of their topic work which will continue through the rest of term.
