Louis John, 20, scooped the gong at the National Enterprise Academy annual graduation ceremony, held at Manchester City's Eastlands stadium last week.
He landed the top prize after impressing tutors and fellow students during the past academic year.
Marlow businessman and Dragon's Den star Peter Jones CBE handed over the award at the ceremony and said he was impressed with the Wycombe pupil's business talents.
Mr Jones, who is also the founder of the academy, said: “Louis has shown exceptional drive, passion and determination during his time at the academy.
“His hard work and commitment have earned him the respect of his peers as well as the academy’s tutors.
“Having marked himself out as one the Academy’s top performers at Level 2, we are delighted that Louis has decided to stay on at the Academy next year to further hone is entrepreneurial talents on our Level 3 programme.”
Louis said: “The NEA has taught me to develop the skills that I need to succeed in business, things like communication, time management, as well as important life skills.
“For me, the best bit of the whole course was the master classes from real entrepreneurs. In fact, I’ve enjoyed my time at the academy so much and found it so beneficial that I am returning next year to further build my business skills.”
The academy has three centres around the country, including one in Amersham. To find out more about the academy visit www.thenea.org
