STAFF and pupils at St John's School in Lacey Green are "very proud" after coming 28th in the top 100 primary schools.

St John's is a Church of England Combined School and teaches children between the ages for four to eleven.

It came 28th in the Sunday Times 100 Primary Schools list.

Headteacher, Gill Grimsey, said: "The children and the staff are very proud and have worked extremely hard to achieve this success."
