Snow latest: Chesham school first to announce closure

A CHESHAM school has announced it will be shut tomorrow after a frozen water pipe burst today.

Hawridge & Cholesbury Church of England School has confirmed it will shut.

A statement from the school read: “Due to burst water pipes the electricity and water mains have been turned off until urgent repairs have been carried out.”

So how many more teachers are gonna use this as an excuse to pikey a day of work? Just like they have for the last two years..

How is this an excuse? You can't open with no electricity or water. It would seem that all the remaining schools are open.

Yep, 'server is too busy'; same for the bus disruption website. Why do County systems always fail on the day they are needed?

It never ceases to amaze me that the use of the term 'pikey' is acceptable in any shape or form. Is this the last bastion of acceptable racism. At least in your username you have been honest about yourself. !
