The Ukip candidate seeking the Wycombe parliamentary seat said he would like the UK to leave the European Union and favoured a points-based system.

When speaking at the Bucks Free Press' hustings event this week, David Meacock said: “The fact of the matter is European law is quite simple – the free movement of people and goods.

“We have a choice to continue with the discriminatory policies that disadvantage people from the Commonwealth, many of whom can speak English already, or we can have a points-based system.

“If we can get out of Europe and establish the points system, it can’t come soon enough.”
