After what seems like months of endless campaigning from the major – and minor – political parties, the day has finally arrived to decide who you want to rule the country.

In what is shaping up to be one of toughest election result to call, all eyes are focused on the polling stations, which have been open since 7am this morning.

Voters have been filling out their ballots, using their voice to have their say who should be the next government.

Residents in Wycombe, Beaconsfield, Buckingham, Aylesbury, Chesham and Amersham are putting an ‘X’ next to the name of their chosen candidate.

Polling stations across the constituencies will close their doors at 10pm tonight.

The Bucks Free Press will be bringing you updates throughout the day and night as they happen, with a live blog being launched during tonight’s General Election count.
