THE latest in a series of meetings aiming to help shape the future of NHS services in the area is coming to Wycombe on Thursday evening.

The NHS Chiltern Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is urging local people to attend the event at Hamilton Academy in Priory Road, which will spotlight issues including the NHS 111 number, GP out-of-hours services and urgent care services.

The meeting forms part of the CCG's Let’s Talk Health’ discussions being held across south Bucks throughtout the month.

Dr Annet Gamell, Chief Clinical Officer at Chiltern CCG, said: "This is a great opportunity for people to tell us how we can improve quality and make every penny count for NHS 111, GP out-of-hours and urgent care services across our patch. All feedback will help us to create a robust and innovative five-year commissioning plan, so we can improve quality and ensure value-for-money."

At the meeting the public will be asked specific questions to gauge their views and opinions about these local health services - and the NHS generally.

These will include: How can quality be improved? How can financial stability be improved? How can everyone’s healthcare needs be met? What can be done to build excellent services now and for future generations?

People who wish to attend the meeting on Thursday, November 21, can reserve a seat in advance if they wish. Email: chiltenccg@nhs.net or call 01494 586600.

The event runs from 6.30pm to 8pm.

People can also answer the questions via the CCG Facebook page which can be found by visiting www.chilternccg.nhs.uk and clicking on the Facebook icon.
