LITERARY celebrations have continued in Amersham as school pupils dressed up as some of their favourite book characters.
As well as the dressing-up the children from St George’s Infant School marked World Book day with a visit from a local author.
An educational theme was also continued as the children bought in their favourite books to discuss and write about them.
Headteacher, Mr Long, said: “We enjoy supporting World Book Day as it sits well alongside our strong emphasis on children having as much access to books at this young age as possible.
“Our World Book Day celebrations happened coincide with a visit from our School Improvement Advisor, he commented it was a pleasure to visit the school – especially today during World Book Day when all pupils and staff were clearly enjoying their book character roles.
