A SPATE of burglaries which police believe could be linked has hit the Amersham and Little Chalfont area.

Officers say the first of the four break-ins took place at a property in Old Saw Mill Lane, Little Chalfont, between Monday, October 27 and Thursday, October 30.

A person returned to the property to find a wooden side gate had been forced and access had been gained via a kitchen window at the rear of the property.

A silver BMW car was seen in the area on Wednesday, October 28, between 6pm and 6.25pm.

That same day, October 28, three further dwelling burglaries took place in Amersham: Between 7.20am and 8.45pm in Springfields, intruders forced entry through a property’s front door by smashing a window pane and unlocking it. An untidy search was carried out inside of all rooms. No items appeared to have been stolen. A silver BMW was seen in the area.

Next, between 10.30am and 7pm, the side door of a property in Park Place was forced and an untidy search was carried out of the whole house. A set of keys was stolen.

Then, between 6.25pm and 6.50pm, intruders forced entry via a back door of a property in Briery Way. An untidy search of a bedroom was carried out and watches, keys and cash were stolen.

Officers are investigating the incidents and have been conducting house to house enquiries in the area.
