A CAROL concert in aid of a charity dedicated to funding life-saving equipment in Bucks' hospitals was packed out this month.
A capacity audience filled St Mary’s Church in Old Amersham for the annual Scannappeal Christmas Concert.
Young musicians from the Amersham Music Centre entertained with a selection of Christmas favourites and the choir from Little Chalfont Primary School started the proceedings with a rendition of Once in Royal David’s City.
Festive readings and solo performances by young local singers Jemima Lomax and Rebecca Hallam and xylophone playing from Alex Pullen also featured during the concert which raised more than £3,100 towards the Sound Appeal at Amersham Hospital, which is a £50,000 appeal to purchase advance diagnostic equipment for the audiology department.
