A free health check-up for Chiltern residents is being held in Little Chalfont later this month.

Open to people aged 40-74, it will check patients' blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol levels and provide advice on how to improve physical and mental wellbeing.

Run by Chiltern District Council, their leisure providers GLL Better and the NHS, it will take place at St George's Church Hall in White Lion Road from 4-7pm on Wednesday, March 25.

To be eligible for the health check, people should be aged 40-74, have not undergone an NHS health check in the past five years and not already be diagnosed with stroke, heart disease or attack, diabetes or kidney disease.

Cyclists of any age will also be able tp take their bike along for a free check and repair, with goodie bags for the first 20 people.

Cllr Peter Hudson, Chiltern District Council's cabinet member for community, said: "A drop-in health check like this provides information on healthier lifestyles, and can flag up any underlying issues that may require further medical examination.

"What better way to have a mini MOT than over a cuppa and a friendly chat? We've held these sessions in the past and they've been really popular, so don't miss out on the chance to have a check up."
