Budding footballers can sign up for a new term at the Aaron West Goalkeeping Academy, which starts next week.

The spring term at the academy has its first sessions at the Amersham School kick off on Monday, April 13.

The academy was set up in memory of Aaron, a former Amersham School pupil who died from a rare form of cancer in 2010.

A promising footballer himself, 16-year-old Aaron's dying wish was to set up an academy to give opportunities of playing football to youngsters in the area.

Classes for goalkeepers aged seven to 12 run from 5-6pm and sessions for 13-16 year olds follow at 6.30-8pm. All classes are run by Mikahel Jaimez Ruiz, a former professional footballer from Venezuela.
