Amersham group looking to crown Jubilee baby

The Jubilee crown that is up for grabs The Jubilee crown that is up for grabs

A CHURCH group is looking to crown a Jubilee baby in Amersham.

Members of the Churches Together in Amersham and Chesham Bois group had a handcrafted crown as the centrepiece display of their stall at the Amersham Carnival.

Now they're looking to pass it on to the first baby born in the area after the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations last month.

It will be the third royal-themed item the group will have given away after the Jubilee. They have also presented a Jubilee coin set to a primary school child and a royal cushion to a family, and are now searching for a baby to win the final gift.

The group wants to give the crown to the first baby born after June 2 in the Amersham area.

To claim the crown, email acarswell@london.newsquest.co.uk.
