STRUTTING mutts took the lead to make their way through the South Bucks countryside on Sunday, with owners raising over £1200 for the RSPCA.

Sponsored dog walk the ‘Mutt Strutt’ saw 22 dogs and over 30 keen walkers start out from the Royal Standard of England pub, near Beaconsfield.

And the much-needed cash will go towards helping South Bucks RSPCA look after sick, injured or abandoned animals.

Volunteer fundraising co-ordinator Louise Wheeler said: “The Mutt Strut was a very enjoyable day and a great success; I would like to thank everyone who took part helping to raise much needed funds to help local animals in need.”

South Bucks RSPCA cares for over 400 animals a year, with finding new homes for them the main focus of their work.

Volunteer staff on the generosity of individuals, groups and companies to help them care for local animals in need.
