A PUB in Beaconsfield is in the spotlight as the landlady attempts to capture a new audience by starting their own television channel.
The Red Lion, in Knotty Green, has started live webcasts, showing the beginning of every Tuesday’s Open Mic night and ‘Friday Night Live’ music events.
Having begun unannounced, the organisers are particularly pleased with the twenty minute broadcast segments that have so far raked in over 8,000 hits.
Landlady, Tina Massie, said: “This is a great way of showcasing our weekly and special music events.
“We had a soft trial run of My Red Lion TV and we were amazed at how many people tuned in.
“We only broadcast the first twenty minutes because, obviously, we want people to come along to watch and enjoy the live music in the pub.
“If the audience keeps on building then we’ll look to broadcast other events too.”
