BURGLARS broke into a bank and damaged a cash machine yesterday, but police say the offenders left empty-handed.
Officers are appealing for information after the burglars gained entry to the HSBC bank in Penn Road, Beaconsfield New Town, at 5am on Sunday, October 5.
The offenders parked near the bank in a silver car and left in the same vehicle, without taking anything, police believe.
Det Sgt Paul Cossey, from Gerrards Cross Local Area CID, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who saw what happened during the incident.
“I would also appeal to anyone who has any information about the burglary to contact police.”
Reports on social media said there was a loud bang and it is believed the cash machine was ripped from the wall.
