TWO ‘famous’ people will be attending a charity evening to help boost the fundraising efforts of a foundation which was setup following the death of a teenager, organisers say.

South Bucks, and Beaconsfield in particular, is known for welcoming its fair share of celebrities, and The Alexander Jansons Foundation will be rolling out the red carpet again this month.

A Robbie Williams tribute act and the Mayor of Beaconsfield, Steve Jones, will both be the guests of honour during the evening in the Old Town on Sunday, November 30.

Cllr Jones has chosen to support the charity this year which was started following the tragic loss of 18-year-old Alexander Jansons.

Alexander, the son of Andy Jansons – the Managing Director of Beaconsfield-based developers Jansons Property –died suddenly last July from a heart condition called myocarditis, when he was on his way home from a night out.

Parents, Andy and Pam, and brother, Tomas, aim to raise a minimum of £80,000 a year for the next three years to fund research into the condition.

The family hope the research will provide early detection of those at risk, early initiation of treatment and improve clinical outcomes.

The event will be held in The Old Bengal, Wycombe End. For more information on tickets, please visit www.justgiving.com/ajf-oldbengal
