A POLITICIAN met with future filmmakers and discussed the importance of the industry while on a visit to Pinewood Studios.
MP Harriet Harman, the shadow deputy Prime Minster and Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport visited the Iver Heath-based studios on Thursday, November 20.
During her trip she met with pupils enrolled in the Pinewood Studios Management Diploma, a course which supports the future of the creative industries in the UK.
She said: “Creative industries are incredibly important – because creativity is important to us as individuals, communities and as a nation.
“Labour incentivised film back to the UK though Film Tax Relief and I am very happy to come to Pinewood today to learn more about what they are doing.
“What creative industries do brings great joy to people’s lives, puts this country on the map and provides jobs for the future.”
