A shooting competition raised hundreds of pounds to help sick children as Freemasons took to the range with charity in their sights.
Members of Marlow and Beaconsfield Freemasons raised more than £300 with a 12-bore shooting day at West London Shooting School at Northolt in Middlesex.
Representatives of the 20 lodges and 10 chapters in the masonic centre in St Peter Street, Marlow, beat their colleagues from Windsor End, Beaconsfield in the event.
The prize money from the competition will go to the Teddies for Loving Care project, which gives cuddly toys to youngsters in the county’s hospitals to reduce their fear of treatment.
Organiser Dave Hollis, 64, an engineer from Hambleden, said: “Freemasonry is all about friendship, integrity and charity, so raising cash for the TLC project hit the bull’s eye for us.
“Shooting competitions are a great way of getting to extend your circle of friends. It was a productive and enjoyable day.”
