The miniature world of Bekonscot is ready to come alive again this weekend when the gates open to welcome a new era at the Beaconsfield tourist attraction.
Fresh from celebrating 85 years since the world’s oldest model village was officially opened organisers are still coming up with new ideas on how to keep families happy.
The miniature buildings and tiny people are awaiting the opening on Saturday and it is hoped they can continue to raise money for various charities in the area.
Although the landscape has not changed much in the last few months, the Bekonscot railway carriage shop, which includes souvenirs, books and gifts, has been overhauled in the aim to make it more appealing to guests.
Since Bekonscot was opened in 1929, they have raised more than £6 million for charity.
